Compare containers rather than piece counts

IKEA's 1 L rectangular glass container with its plastic lid, article 895.670.61, is listed at CAD $4.99. Pyrex Freshlock's 10-piece set, manufacturer item 1133097 and retailer SKU 295487, is listed at CAD $52.95. That Pyrex box contains five dishes and five lids. Five IKEA units cost CAD $28 less at these listing prices. These are different configurations: IKEA provides five matching 1 L containers; Pyrex supplies two 1-cup dishes, two 4-cup dishes and one 6-cup dish. Before buying a mixed set, write down the portions you usually save. If the small pieces would sit unused, the advertised average price has little value. If you frequently need separate sauce or side portions, those small containers may be exactly the point.

IKEA 365 for matching portions and replaceable lids

The 1 L combined unit is listed as 21 × 15 × 7 cm. Measure your lunch bag and shelf rather than assuming a litre describes the outside dimensions. The listing carries a “Now or Never” label, so check your chosen store before building a whole collection around it. IKEA unit details

IKEA separately lists lid 405.779.43 at CAD $1.50. Its materials are polypropylene and silicone. Pyrex Freshlock for a mixed set

Freshlock uses four locking tabs. The manufacturer describes its lids as airtight and leak-resistant; that is a manufacturer claim, not our test result. Its published sizes give you a useful way to check bag fit before ordering: the 4-cup dish is approximately 6.75 × 6.75 × 3 inches, while the 6-cup dish is approximately 8.5 × 6.5 × 2.25 inches. Choose a mixed set because its sizes match your routine. For five similar lunches, count the larger dishes you would use before treating this as a five-day meal-prep kit. Confirm replacement-lid availability for the precise shape and model rather than assuming all Pyrex lids fit.

Caraway has important care and transport tradeoffs

Caraway's current main page describes a 12-piece ceramic-coated glass storage set with organizers. It explicitly excludes travelling with liquids such as soup. A premium storage system may appeal for its appearance and organization, but that transport restriction matters if your main job is carrying lunch. Caraway storage set

The detailed care page is also more useful than a general dishwasher-safe badge. Caraway says to handwash the lids, permits the bases in a dishwasher on a normal cycle, and requires removing lids before microwaving.
